What data we collect

Chess Rating Tools does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All calculations happen locally in your browser — no ratings, game results, or inputs are ever sent to a server.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used. GA4 collects:

• Pages visited and time spent
• Device type, browser, and approximate country (IP anonymized)
• Interaction events (e.g. number of games added to a calculation)

IP addresses are anonymized before being sent to Google. No chess ratings, game results, or any inputs you enter are included in analytics events.

Google's data processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. No other cookies are used by this site.

Third-party links

This site links to external sites (FIDE, CFC, GitHub). We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will reflect that. The site has no user accounts, so no individual notification is possible.
